C&#8217;est le groupe le plus nombreux au Tera\u00ef. On estime la population tharu \u00e0 environ 1,5 millions de personnes. Ils sont pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s partout au Tera\u00ef et particuli\u00e8rement nombreux notamment dans les r\u00e9gions de\u00a0 Chitwan, Dang, kanchanpur, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Surkhet, Udayapur, Sarlahi, Sunsari, \u00a0Bardhia, Kailali, kanchanpur.
